The Promised Holy Spirit

"

Is your life marked as one that is overflowing with the Holy Spirit? Or do you sometimes doubt if the Holy Spirit is really at work in you because you can't feel Him or sense Him? The good news is that Jesus promised that every single person who believes in Him and has been born again will absolutely receive the Holy Spirit as a promise to live and work in them. Every believer will have the Spirit as a seal and guarantee of their salvation and future, and He will indeed finish what He has started. Knowing and believing this ought to help us learn to live and keep in step with the Spirit and put to death the works of the flesh when we realize that He has been given to us as our Helper, and that we don't need to try to do this alone. ABOUT THIS SERIES: The Gospel of John was written "that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing in Him you may have life in His Name" (John 20.30). The Apostle John, as an eyewitness and close friend of Jesus', desires for us to behold His beauty, love, and glory, and believe in His power and willingness to being forgiveness and life. As we journey through the Gospel of John, we will behold the life, teachings, works, and ministry of Jesus, and will hear straight from Him who He said He is, so that we would more deeply put our hope and trust in the Man who is God.
