CloseDespite the stark warning the author of Hebrews has already given, it is clear that his ultimate goal is for the reader to have confidence and assurance of their salvation. And he points out that he does have confidence in their salvation for one primary reason: they have proved it. Their works of love and service are clear evidence of their faith. The seed of the gospel has taken root and the evidence is in the strong tree which has grown and is now producing good fruit.
