CloseThe author of Hebrews begins with showing Christ’s solidarity with God, but now in these verses he is shifting to show Christ’s solidarity with man. At creation, man was given dominion over creation, but we failed. Christ takes up that cause in order to reestablish that kingdom reign, and also pay for the penalty of the loss due to humankind. That said, while His Kingdom has been inaugurated at the cross, we still don’t perceive that victory…yet. But that Day will come when His rule and reign will be consummated forevermore.
