Always at Work: Developing Kingdom Work Ethic

"

You are always "at work." Whether you at work looking out for your own interests, or the interests of others, we are always living out life with various motivations. When it comes to the people in our lives, we are either serving them, or looking for ways for them to serve us. We are either aiming to share Jesus with them, or we have already written them off as someone who would never believe. Jesus was also always at work, but He was always about the work of His Father's Kingdom. And He gives His followers instruction to not just sow a seed here and there and just sit around and wait, but to always be in the field, reaping a harvest even that others have sown. God has put many people in our lives to bless and share Jesus with. We look to Him to be our example of perfect Kingdom Work Ethic. ABOUT THIS SERIES: The Gospel of John was written "that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing in Him you may have life in His Name" (John 20.30). The Apostle John, as an eyewitness and close friend of Jesus', desires for us to behold His beauty, love, and glory, and believe in His power and willingness to being forgiveness and life. As we journey through the Gospel of John, we will behold the life, teachings, works, and ministry of Jesus, and will hear straight from Him who He said He is, so that we would more deeply put our hope and trust in the Man who is God.
