You Will Never See Death

"

It is natural and normal to fear or have some kind of anxiety over the thought of death, be it our own or of our loved ones. We fear the separation, or maybe the mystery of it. But Jesus gives a radical promise, that those who keep His Word will never see death. It is as if we pass from one room into the next; it is the difference between being hit by a truck or being hit by the shadow of a truck. If our old self has been crucified with Him, we know that we also be raised like Him. Just as death has no power over Him, we know that death has no power over us. ABOUT THIS SERIES: The Gospel of John was written "that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing in Him you may have life in His Name" (John 20.30). The Apostle John, as an eyewitness and close friend of Jesus', desires for us to behold His beauty, love, and glory, and believe in His power and willingness to being forgiveness and life. As we journey through the Gospel of John, we will behold the life, teachings, works, and ministry of Jesus, and will hear straight from Him who He said He is, so that we would more deeply put our hope and trust in the Man who is God.
