YOLO? Humbly Living for Eternity

"

James is often considered the "Proverbs of the New Testament." James wrote this letter primarily to Jewish converts to Christianity around 60 AD. They had been experiencing a lot of external trials and persecution, as well as internal temptation, and needed to be encouraged in their faith. James offers practical wisdom for the Christian life. In this sermon, James gives a strong warning to people that are living their lives as if they are guaranteed tomorrow, and as if this life is all we get. But where the world tells us, "you only live once," the Word tells us that this world is not our home, but we have a future, eternal home to look forward to. This perspective should change everything about how we live.
