The author of Hebrews provides us a description of the High Priest, as it had been described in God's Word. And, eventually, a new High Priest was sent, and it was the very Son of God Almighty. But although He was the Son, He would not be given preferential treatment. He would have to go through all that the earthly High Priests would go through, even what every human would have to go through, and through this, He also became a High Priest originated from the people, with the weakness of human experience being what makes Him sympathetic and gentle.
