Concentrated Worship and Effective Life
In this sermon, Jesus is in Bethany a few days before His death, and Mary, the sister of Lazarus and Martha, had just poured out expensive perfume upon Jesus, to the disdain of Judas. But her concentrated and focused dedication to Jesus also led to the whole house being filled with the perfume, and Jesus Himself said this act would spread to the nations. When we concentrate our worship towards Jesus and make Him the absolute central focus of our life, the inadvertent result is that we spread the aroma of Christ throughout our life wherever we go. Effective life and ministry does not start with a love and dedication to people, but a love and dedication to Jesus.
