Made Alive on the Inside

"

"You must be born again." There may not be five more important words in the English language. In this sermon, Jesus speaks to one of the most moral, religious, and seemingly passionate followers of God's Law, but even Jesus says to him, "so what? Unless you're born again, it's pointless." What does it mean to be born again, and why is it necessary? Isn't being a good, moral person and believing in God enough to be accepted by God and go to heaven? According to Jesus, it isn't even close. Rather, we must have faith in the only one who can bring a solution to our problem of sin. ABOUT THIS SERIES: The Gospel of John was written "that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing in Him you may have life in His Name" (John 20.30). The Apostle John, as an eyewitness and close friend of Jesus', desires for us to behold His beauty, love, and glory, and believe in His power and willingness to being forgiveness and life. As we journey through the Gospel of John, we will behold the life, teachings, works, and ministry of Jesus, and will hear straight from Him who He said He is, so that we would more deeply put our hope and trust in the Man who is God.
