Campaign Promises

"

In an election year, we become accustomed to hearing lots of promises that we (rightly) expect to become unfulfilled. At least, not to the extent of the promise, if at all. But in His earthly ministry, Jesus made some massively sweeping promises, and yet He will fulfill every single one of them, to their fullest extent. Through the sacrifice He made for us, He purchases every single aspect of our salvation, from the first day, until the last day. He is stronger than anything that can come against us and our salvation, and His promises will never fail. This is our great comfort as we build our lives and hope upon Jesus, who is truly the author and finisher of our faith. ABOUT THIS SERIES: The Gospel of John was written "that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing in Him you may have life in His Name" (John 20.30). The Apostle John, as an eyewitness and close friend of Jesus', desires for us to behold His beauty, love, and glory, and believe in His power and willingness to being forgiveness and life. As we journey through the Gospel of John, we will behold the life, teachings, works, and ministry of Jesus, and will hear straight from Him who He said He is, so that we would more deeply put our hope and trust in the Man who is God.

Scripture References: John 6:35-50
